Emiliano Corapi was born in 1970 in Rome.
After graduating in law, he begins his activity in the world of cinema by writing and making several short films which received numerous awards, such as the Moravia Prize for the screenplay, the Audience Award at the Turin Film Festival and the Silver Ribbon.
In 2011 he makes his debut with his feature film Sulla Strada di Casa (On the way home), which receives an excellent critical acclaim and several awards in Italy and abroad.
In addition to his activity as director, he is also a screenwriter, and he often takes part in the writing of several screenplays for other directors’ cinema. In 2020, he shoots his second feature film L’amore a domicilio with Miriam Leone and Simone Liberati.
