This year at UFF: Bacurau

UFF has the honor of hosting a preview of movies from all over the world, which are chosen by our Artistic Direction with great attention, in order to offer a unique and high quality experience to the audience.

Five movies will be projected this year at the 24th UFF. Among these, we present you: Bacurau.

Directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho and Juliano Dornelles, Cannes Film Festival 2019 Jury Prize winner, the movie brings the audience to the inland regions of Brazil, to Bacurau.

The whole city mourns the loss of its matriarch, Carmelita, who passed away at the venerable age of 94. Days later, the inhabitants notice a very unusual fact: their community has vanished from most maps.

Bacurau will be projected at the UFF on the evening of August 6!
