Umbria Film Festival is pleased to announce Maria Teresa Cavina as her new Artistic Director.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Known in the national and international movie scene, Maria Teresa Cavina has a distinguished career that includes, among her many achievements: the <\/span>selections of films<\/b> at the Venice Film Festival and <\/span>the relations<\/b> with international delegations (1988-1997); also, she has been <\/span>deputy manager<\/b> for the Locarno Film Festival (2001-2005), <\/span>co-founder<\/b> and <\/span>artistic co-director<\/b> of the Rome International Film Festival (2005-2008), <\/span>artistic director<\/b> of FIPA \u2013 Biarritz (2009-2011) and <\/span>programming director<\/b> of Abu Dhabi Festival (2009-2015).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Currently, she is <\/span>consultant<\/b> of \u201cGiornate degli Autori\u201d and is <\/span>senior programmer<\/b> at El Gouna Film Festival. She collaborates as an <\/span>expert<\/b> with several foundations: Doha Film Institute (Qatar), Red Sea Film Fund (Arabia Saudita) Sarajevo Film Festival. She is a <\/span>mentor<\/b> and<\/span> member<\/b> of the Jury of the Solinas Prize.<\/span><\/p>

Maria Teresa Cavina has been working for the 29th edition of the<\/span> Umbria Film Festival<\/b>, alongside <\/span>Sergio Sozzo<\/b>, historic signature of Sentieri Selvaggi, <\/span>Ivan Frenguelli<\/b> and <\/span>Giacomo Caldarelli<\/b>, programmers of PostModernissimo.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The artistic direction works in a closer synergy with the completely renewed <\/span>executive board<\/b>. <\/span>Michela Paganelli<\/b>, lawyer and expert in management, has been appointed as the President of the Association. With this new organization, the Festival is ready to welcome its audience and many special guests.<\/span><\/p>

The goal is clear: to showcase the best of film culture and entertainment in <\/span>one of the most beautiful villages of Italy<\/b>, <\/span>Montone<\/b>.
