Fuori Festival – 25 years of Umbria Film Festival is a project promoted by the Umbria Film Festival APS Association to support film culture in the Umbrian territory through events linking the seventh art to live entertainment produced in collaboration with the Municipality of Montone and financed by the Umbria Region through the Call for Live Entertainment. They took place from September 12 to December 5, 2021 in the Municipality of Montone and other municipalities in Umbria.
The Umbria Film Festival celebrated an important birthday in 2021, marking 25 years of uninterrupted activity. This is a milestone for this event, which has always been held in person and has become a fixed appointment for tourists and film enthusiasts from all over the world who come to the Upper Tiber Valley every year in the second week of July.
To celebrate this anniversary, a series of events were organized in places of historical and artistic interest such as churches and museums, but not only. As per tradition, the cultural events took place in spaces of historical and artistic interest such as churches and cloisters. The objective was also to revitalize places of cinematic and theatrical culture that have suffered during the pandemic and that have been necessarily closed or limited in their accessibility to the public.
Nine live performances were scheduled, touching various areas of art, combining short film screenings with live music, theatrical performances, and animated readings for children.
The municipalities involved in the project were Montone, Umbertide, Città di Castello, Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, and Spello.
All events were free admission, by reservation, in compliance with anti-COVID-19 regulations.

After their success in the last edition and in the Off-Festival in autumn, they return once again with their unmatched energy and passion, the Ginger Bender!
Born in 2012 from the meeting of Alessandra Di Toma and Jeanne Hadley, the duo became fond of street art, busking in Italy and abroad.
A music rich in influences and different sound universes: from blues, funk, and afro sounds, to harmonies reminiscent of old 1930s jazz ballads, sung to a syncopated reggae rhythm and with the prerogative of improvisation.
Let yourself be swept away by the Ginger Bender: they will play at the Festival on the evening of July 8, from 6:30 PM!

After “Presentimento” and “Spassiunatamente”, with which they approached masterpieces of classic Neapolitan song with due respect, here comes a new album in 2022 for Peppe Servillo Solis String Quartet, dedicated to Renato Carosone.
"We laugh with the songs, but not only that, Renato moves us, he is moved looking with caressing irony at his bullfighters, Saracens, Americans. Carosone thinks of his people with affection, with a simple humor, from below, without sarcasm, without power, without malice in his smile. He takes us far away, purposely taking the wrong road, for an unexpected musical and verbal detour, we follow him hoping not to cause damage, maybe we disguise ourselves and don't recognize each other.
(Peppe Servillo)
