Born in 1969, she graduated from the National Film School of Denmark in 1999. Fischer Christensen’s debut film A Soap (2006) had its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival where it received the Silver Bear-Grand Jury Prize and the 2006 Best First Feature Award. The film also won the Bodil, the Danish Film Critics’ Award for Best Film of 2007. His second feature film, Dancers followed Family Affairs (2010).
