The Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, through the call “Cinema for School – Best Practices, Reviews and Festivals” have awarded and funded the “Action Movies” Project presented by the Umbria Film Festival “Association” in partnership with the Municipality of Montone, The “Comprehensive Institute of Umbertide-Montone-Pietralunga” and the Leonardo da Vinci Campus of Umbertide.

The Umbria Film Festival has always focused on younger generations, actively involving them in the festival with the Short Films for Children section. The best short film award has always been assigned by the very strict jury of students from the schools of Montone and Alto Tevere; for three years we have also hosted students from the Da Vinci Campus with school-work alternation.

This year in Montone and Umbertide, cinema was studied and made even outside the Festival itself, involving all school levels, conducting courses and workshops in local schools.

The project, awarded by MiUR-MiBAC, involved about 150 students aged between 3 and 18 years old with workshops and training courses on activities related to the seventh art.

All the videos, short films, and works produced were screened and exhibited at the festival, judged and awarded by the audience and festival guests, and finally promoted on our communication channels.
