At the Umbria Film Festival cinema and music meet in a unique atmosphere. Festival days offer not only extraordinary screenings, but also unmissable musical events. Join us in Piazza San Francesco for an unforgettable evening of music, culture and cinema.
Music in the Square with The Committee Band
One of the main events of this edition is the concert by La Banda del Comitato, a band formed in 2016 in the picturesque Umbre countryside. The band offers a fusion of original pieces and reinterpretations of the folk, manouche and Italian song repertoire of the 1960s. This “liscio d’autore” is distinguished by its iridescent, poetic and dreamy atmospheres, the result of lasting friendships and natural wines.
Special Guest: Alice Rohrwacher
On accordion and vocals, along with Martina Sciucchino, will be Alice Rohrwacher. The celebrated Italian director and screenwriter, who won the Best Screenplay award at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival for “Lazzaro Felice” and was nominated for the 2023 Oscars for the best short film “Le Pupille,” then returned to theaters with “La Chimera,” a David di Donatello-nominated film.
