1972. Gilles and Christine attend the same class in a high school on the outskirts of Paris. Both children of divorced parents, they are left to their own devices. Her mother lives with a former Algerian soccer player whose beliefs about Scientology she shares. Because of the latter’s precarious living conditions, she has lost legal custody of Christine. The father, concerned about his daughter’s mental state, decided to have her committed to a nursing home, if necessary by force. The only glimmer in Christine’s life is the love between her and Gilles, but Gilles is still leaning toward childhood to deal with the gravity of the situation. One night, however, he will have to choose….
