Get ready for a truly creative immersion into the evocative and imaginative universe of Terry Gilliam. On Saturday, July 12th, starting at 6:00 PM, the Umbria Film Festival celebrates a very special anniversary alongside its Honorary President.
The event, “Becoming X into the Gilliamverse,” is entirely dedicated to the 40th anniversary of Brazil, the cinematic masterpiece by Terry Gilliam from 1985.
To cap off this day, a Live Drawing will take place in Piazza San Francesco, immediately following the film’s screening.
It is a collective of artists, illustrators, cartoonists, designers, photographers, artisan printers and musicians. The project of Becoming X is to unite visual art and musical soundtrack in live performance, using all the disciplines of drawing: muralism, painting, drawing on paper and digital drawing, animations, screen printing, chalcography, on all conceivable and available media. Becoming X has been a guest and has independently organized events in different locations: in cinemas, rock festivals, cultural festivals, in each of which it has modulated its intervention project according to the potential and peculiarities of the event itself.
