Enzo D’Alò

Born in Naples, in Italy, in 1953, director, screenwriter and musician, he is considered one of the
main creators in the field of animation in Europe. He has received numerous prestigious awards and
recognitions from critics for his films and television series, including the Franco Bianchi Award at the 70th
edition of the Venice International Film Festival. Their body of works includes:
La gabbianella e il gatto (1998); Momo alla conquista del tempo (2001), La Freccia Azzurra (1996); Opopomoz (2003); Pinocchio (2012), which was screened at the 69th Venice International Film Festival and received a nomination for
the EFA Awards. The television series
Pipì, Pupù e Rosmarina (2009) was born from an original idea by D’Alò, written with Vincenzo Cerami. Distributed worldwide, the series comprises 78 episodes, four longer special episodes and a feature film. His latest film Mary e lo spirito del tempo was presented at the 73rd Berlinale.
