Mattea Fo

Mattea Fo is an acclaimed Italian essayist, curator, and cultural manager. Raised within one of Europe’s
most prominent artistic families, she dedicates her career to preserving, studying, and promoting the
cultural legacy of her grandparents, Dario Fo and Franca Rame.
Since 2019, she has served as President of the Fo Rame Foundation, where she coordinates their massive
digital historical archive, theater festivals, and exhibitions both in Italy and internationally. As a curator and
editor, she has overseen the publication of numerous volumes dedicated to the plays and paintings of the
celebrated Nobel Prize-winning duo. She actively collaborates with universities, schools, and festivals to introduce younger generations to the social theater and civic engagement that defined the Dario Fo and Franca Rame legacy.
